Will Gregory Studio Interview PT1
Post a Comment

Hey - is that Synthex running through an MF 101 in the intro? Hmmmm :)

Great interview, Nick!
Just a little PS-3100 note for anyone who's interested: The PS doesn't sound like an MS primarily because the oscillators used in divide-down synths are different from those used in monophonic or the other sort of polyphonic synths. They are much more pitch stable, and tend to be a bit icy... which results in a very different sound.
That's the rare Prophet 10, the one with all the problems! I wonder if it works!

This rules. Thanks so much! That lovely Korg...must...visit....this...studio....

Hey emssynthi100 - what a cooincindence - I'll pass it on to Will

hi this was my synthex you bought. if you need to know anything that has to do with issues or service history contact me. www.synthorama.com it is a lovely synth hope you enjoy...

Ah, Will's the kind of Uncle every 12-year old kid just getting into music dreams of having - a cool pop star Uncle with rooms full of wonderful esoteric, rare and powerful synths everywhere. What's this behind the bookshelf.? Ah, Prophet 10. And propped up in that doorway over there? An Obie four-voice. And so on... and on...

Great stuff!

Vintage polysynths... because sometimes you just wanna play a chord... :D

Wonderful interview. This brought back some awesome memories of these classics synths. Thanks for uploading. Will has a great sense of humor.

Great interview. I like how the syntex sounds.
